Connect a Venue to a Property Management System (PMS)

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to configure PMS Sync for a Venue.

RealPage - Venue Management Approval

Before configuring a RealPage Venue in VAULT, you will need to reach out to your contact at the venue and ask them to approve VAULT for integration. These steps are per RealPage.

1. Login in to the RealPage Integration Marketplace.

2. Select Manage Integrations

3. Find RoamingiQ, or VAULT in the Integration list.

4. Find the property for syncing, and toggle the box.

5. Note, this will trigger an e-mail from RealPage to the VAULT team, that they will also have to approve. Once they have done so, they will confirm with you that are you are good to proceed. Please do not proceed to the next steps until this is complete.

   

Entrata - Venue Management Approval

Before configuring an Entrata Venue in VAULT, you will need to reach out to your contact at the venue and ask them to approve VAULT for integration. These steps are per Entrata.

1. Login in to the Entrata platform

2. Select Apps->API Access

3. Select "Add API user"

4. Search for, "RoamingiQ"

5. Select "Enable Access"

6. Please do not proceed to the next steps until this is complete.

Configuring a PMS Venue in VAULT

Before you are able to take advantage of PMS integration, RoamingiQ must enable PMS integration for your environment and create the relevant PMS Profiles. If this has not been set up for you, please reach out to your VAULT Account Manager to enable access.

1. During the Venue Creation Wizard, you will be asked if you want to connect a PMS Profile to the Venue. You can separately navigate to the PMS settings page by navigating to your Network Operator Console->Venues->View/Modify Venue->select the Venue->PMS.

2. Select the appropriate PMS Profile.

3. Enter the required information for the PMS profile you want to create. The Venue Manager should have this information.

4. Determine if you want VAULT to sync units, or subscribers and units. In order to sync subscribers, unit sync must be enabled.

5. Click "Save Changes" to begin the sync process. The first sync may take up to an hour to complete.

How Do I Configure Unit VLANs When VAULT is Adding Units From RealPage?

VAULT will automatically assign a VLAN to a unit from the available Resident Devices VLAN range according to the Venue profile. It is required to allow VAULT to generate the unit list from RealPage in order to ensure data accuracy. Once the unit list is generated, Network Administrators may export their unit list, make modifications to the VLANs, and then re-upload the unit list. Because the Unit IDs will be unchanged, VAULT will update the VLAN assignments as requested.
