The shopping cart allows subscribers to sign up for service and modify their service via a self-service sign up flow. The shopping cart supports both paid and free service plans. Click here for information on how subscribers use the shopping cart to sign up for service.
A Stripe account is required if you want the shopping cart to allow users to sign up for paid service plans. If you only want to allow subscribers to sign up for free service plans, a Stripe account is not required.
Before enabling the shopping cart, please contact your VAULT Account Manager to ask which individuals should receive Developer Access to your Stripe environment. This step is important for the VAULT team to assist with setting up your Stripe account and providing technical support.
Enabled/Disabled: A checkbox here enables the shopping cart for your environment. You may decide which venues appear in your shopping cart in the venue settings.
Issue Refund by Default: A checkbox here automatically provides subscribers with a pro-rata refund if they cancel their service or if a venue administrator cancels the subscriber's service. Network Administrators can choose if a refund should be issued at all times.
Stripe Publishable Key, Stripe Secret Key, and Stripe Webhook Signing Secret: These are values provided by Stripe that are unique to your Stripe environment.
Shopping Cart Short URL: This is an optional field if you would like to create a shorter link for your Shopping Cart, using a service like TinyURL. In some instances, such as SMS Based Sign Up, this URL will be used to keep SMS messages shorter.
Stripe provides documentation on obtaining these values at https://docs.stripe.com/keys. Your VAULT Account Manager can assist with retrieving these keys.
Next, please reach out to your VAULT Account Manager. There will be two additional steps to complete.
Developer Access - You'll need to add a couple of individuals from RoamingiQ as Developers in your Stripe account. Your VAULT Account Manager can provide you with those details.
Once in, the VAULT team will need to add VAULT as a webhook endpoint in your Stripe environment.
